Children at Epiphany

Our children's programing is beginning again. At present, all ages - elementary through high school - are meeting together in the fellowship hall at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. We are all working together to tailor the program to best meet the needs of our children and families.

If you are interested in being included in our Sunday morning Zoom gatherings, send an email HERE.
Children participate in the life of the parish in a variety of ways from a very young age. Two of the programs dedicated exclusively to them are:

Workshop Rotation Sunday school

Children from preschool through grade 6 meet on most Sunday mornings (during the school year) at 9:30 to explore their faith through experiential workshops. A Bible story or theme (rotation) is examined from a variety of angles over a 4-6 week period in what are called workshops. Storytelling, drama, science, cooking, Bible skills and activities, computer, and music are a sampling of the workshop settings we use. Each child has their own NRSV Bible to use during classes and to keep after.

A team of enthusiastic and dedicated teachers draw materials from rotation.org as a framework for our engaging lessons. One bonus of teaching Sunday school is that the adults have a great time expanding their knowledge right along with the kids they teach. Another perk is the opportunity to form lasting relationships with fellow teachers and students.

Everyone who volunteers with children at Epiphany is required to undergo background checks and complete an online training course, Safeguarding God's Children.
