Our Youth are the future of the parish.

From pre-schoolers as Charming Chimers and Cherub Choir members, to elementary students in the Intermediate Choir, to middle school and high school students acting as acolytes and serving on mission trips, they play an active role in our church life throughout their lives. On Youth Sunday, they take all the lay roles in the service: ushering, reading the lessons, leading the prayers, and even having a high school senior preach the sermon.

During the church year, they also support church activities by acting as waiters and bus boys and girls for our Shrove Tuesday pancake supper as well as other meals and showcasing their talents in the Christmas pageant and annual Talent Show. The youth willingly join with parishioners of all ages in the Advent Event, making Christmas decorations, ornaments, wreaths, and cookies. They not only create these themselves, but also help the younger children with their efforts

Epiphany Acolytes

Epiphany Acolytes provided dedicated service to the Lord's Table by participating in both services as crucifer, youth reader, and aide to the priest during the Gospel reading and preparation of Communion.

They meet once a month, usually the first Sunday, following the 10:30 a.m. service for instruction, fellowship, and pizza. Every October they travel to the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. for the National Acolyte Festival.

They fund this event primarily through the Adrien Miller Memorial Chicken Barbeque held the last Sunday in April. Youth in 5th through 12th grades can be acolytes. They are led by Uncle Rick Little with parental assistance. If you have questions, please e-mail Uncle Rick.
