Epiphany encourages the involvement of our youth and adults in service projects in-state, out-of-state, and internationally. Some are joint efforts with other churches, while others are entirely of our own doing.

Belize 2005

Belize Service Project

The Youth traveled to Belize for a Youth Mission Trip. They worked on several construction projects for the local people.

Philadelphia Service Project

Our High School Youth participate in at least one mission trip each summer. In June of 2007, Sr. High Youth traveled together with the youth group from First Presbyterian Church, Clarks Summit, to the Kensington/Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia through YouthWorks!, an international mission trip agency.

While being housed at Summerfield-Siloam United Methodist Church, the youth experienced a variety of mission areas, including visiting a senior center, helping stock a massive food bank, passing out food at a street corner food drop, painting a
Girls Club gymnasium, building a wheelchair ramp at a transitional housing unit, and more. Each day ended with a time of worshsip and reflection and on the last night of the trip, the church and youth hosted a neighborhood cookout and block party.

New Orleans Service Projects

In 2006, our youth traveled to Moss Point, Mississippi, to help the Rush family rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. In July 2007 they went to New Orleans to continue with its rebuilding efforts.

Appalachia Service Project

Youth from our church annually join others from the area to repair homes in the Appalachian region to make them warmer, safer and drier. Several fundraisers including hoagie and chocolate sales and a brunch/auction enable them all to afford the trip.

Pygmy Ministry

We support an Episcopal ministry in Uganda which includes the Epiphany School, the McMahon Medical Clinic, vehicle donation and sponsoring of individual children; at Christmas time, parishionners can 'purchase' items needed by the pygmies from a Christmas Wish List; In addition, our Sunday school children have made it their mission to support a young Honduran woman with their weekly offerings
