T he parish is involved with various ministries. Some serve in-house, while others look beyond ourselves.

Altar Guild

This dedicated group of individuals prepares the church sanctuary for Sunday and Wednesday services, and special services of weddings, funerals and baptisms. They also decorate for Christmas and Easter seasons, make palm crosses for Palm Sunday, and deliver the weekly and holiday flowers to our homebound parishioners.

Ugly Quilt Group

Sewing quilts to keep the homeless warm in winter, this group meets the 1st & 2nd Tuesday of each month, from April through December. A prayer is said while each completed quilt is folded and filled with warm clothing and toiletries; they are taken to St. Francis Soup Kitchen or Church of the Good Shepherd in Scranton for distribution.

Pygmy Ministry

We support an Episcopal ministry in Uganda which includes the Epiphany School, the McMahon Medical Clinic, vehicle donation and sponsoring of individual children. At Christmas time, parishionners can 'purchase' items needed by the pygmies from a Wish List to give as a gift.
Here is a link to a site produced by our parishioner, Dr. Linda Rogers, who has provided many photos and video clips from her trip to Uganda.

Christian Outreach

Our Christian Outreach and Disaster Relief Committee provides seed money for start-up programs, new frontiers for existing ones, or assistance in the face of disasters. It is given for the direct benefit of programs rather than administrative expenses. In short, it seeks to provide long term value rather than fulfill immediate needs.

AGAPE

The AGAPE fund is set up as a type of parish discretionary fund to enable the Agape Committee to freely help those (within our parish or the community) with financial needs. This help may be of an emergency nature (one-time need) or can be an on-going requirement. It also provides a means to assist charitable agencies to carry out their ministries..

Pastoral Care

Especially for our homebound folk, pastoral care includes but is not limited to: receiving Holy Communion, home/hospital visits, cards from the 'Weekday Saints,' Altar Flowers and Christmas bag deliveries. Our Sunday service of Holy Eucharist is also recorded on tape and copied for any member who cannot attend in person.

Memorial Gardens

Within our grounds are the All Saints and Woodland Memorial Gardens, where the final resting place for loved ones is located. These areas are maintained by parish volunteers during spring and fall clean-ups or whenever they see a need.

Sunday School Mission

Our Sunday school children have made it their mission to support a young Honduran woman with their weekly offerings.
In addition, they often make collections to support our Diocesan ministries benefiting youths at risk, and they prepare shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child project of Samaritan's Purse.
